Assessments, Evaluations, consultation and Treatment of Youth, Families and Adults
ABOUT
I specialize in a variety of evaluations, most often regarding criminal or other legal cases including Comprehensive Chemical Dependency Evaluations, Mental Health Evaluations, and Risk Assessments for violence or dangerousness. I evaluate adults and adolescents. I have been Licensed as an Addiction Counselor since 1992, as a Clinical Social Worker since 1997, and as a Certified Mental Health Professional since 1998.
I have been practicing in Missoula for 30 years since receiving my LAC in 1992, minus a year I attended graduate school at the University of Michigan in 1994. After working at Turning Point Addiction Treatment Services when that agency first opened in 1992, I left to complete my Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work in Michigan and then, upon returning to Missoula, began working with Severely Emotionally Disturbed youth and their families in 1995, at the Western Montana Mental Health Center. I then began work on the Crisis Response Team at the Mental Health Center as a Crisis Response Mental Health Professional in 1998, which included emergency evaluations of individuals in need of psychiatric assistance, including hospitalization on a voluntary and involuntary basis. I entered private practice in 2006.
I believe in an individual’s capacity for change, for healing, for redemption; from addiction, from other self-destructive or harmful behaviors or acts, and even from egregious choices or decisions. I believe in recovery.
